We believe you should always know what happens with your information. Here it is, in plain words.

  • We collect only what we need to share encouragement with you, like your name and email.

  • You can unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your information, any time.
  • SharedLife is free to join.

1. Who we are

SharedLife is a free encouragement community for women 40 and over, with a daily encouragement companion app in development. When this policy says “SharedLife,” “we,” or “us,” it means the team behind SharedLifeDaily.com and our related email, social, and community spaces.

This policy applies to SharedLifeDaily.com, our emails, and the other places we connect with you directly. It doesn’t cover third-party sites we link to, including social platforms, which have their own policies.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Your name and email address when you join our list or newsletter.
  • Anything you choose to tell us, such as the life chapter you’re in, a survey answer, or a message you send to Hello@SharedLifeDaily.com.
  • Comments or stories you choose to share with us. We ask permission before featuring anything.

What we collect automatically

  • Basic device and browser information, your approximate location (such as city or country), and the pages you visit on our site.
  • Whether you open or click our emails, so we can learn which encouragement is most helpful.

What we don’t collect

We don’t ask for payment details to join SharedLife, and we don’t ask for medical or health records. SharedLife shares encouragement, not medical advice. For anything health-related, please talk with your doctor.

3. How we use your information

  • To send you your welcome emails, newsletter, and weekly encouragement.
  • To respond when you write to us.
  • To understand which topics and life chapters matter most to our community, so we can create more of what helps.
  • To keep our site and community safe, and to meet legal obligations.

We only send you marketing emails if you’ve asked to receive them, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run SharedLife, such as our email delivery, website hosting, and analytics providers. They may use your information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our members and our team.

If SharedLife is ever involved in a merger, investment, or sale of the business, your information may transfer as part of that. We’d tell you first and honor the promises in this policy.

5. Cookies and analytics

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how people use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

Our Facebook community and social channels are run on those platforms, so their policies apply to what you share there. Please remember that what you post in a group may be visible to other members.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Ask to see the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete your information.
  • Ask us to stop using your information for certain purposes.

Just email Hello@SharedLifeDaily.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we’ll honor them. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take your trust seriously and choose partners who do too. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.

8. Children

SharedLife is created for adult women and is not directed to children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Our app

Our daily encouragement companion app is still in development. When it launches, we’ll update this policy to explain any additional information the app collects, such as personal preferences, and how you can control it, before you begin using it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and let you know by email or on our site. Using SharedLife after a change means you accept the updated policy.
